12th Annual Family Rosary Crusade
Please join us at St. James Church Beginning at 5:15PM, Friday, May 16th, 2014 |
The 12th Annual Family Rosary Crusade is planned for Friday May 16th, 2014 at Saint James church. The event will begin with 5:15 mass and Exposition at 6:00 PM and then the praying of the Rosary (3 complete Rosaries each hour) for the next 7 hours. The event will conclude at 1:00 AM with Benediction. We have been joined by many local parishes including several people from Lowville, Watertown and Croghan but also we've been blessed with folks as far away as Ogdensburg, Clayton, and Potsdam. We've even had a few participate from outside our diocese coming to us as far away as Albany. The prayer warriors do not stop there, however. Since we've begun this annual event several monasteries throughout the U.S. and even from different parts of the world including Japan and Australia have joined us. Many sisters in Christ have agreed each year to join us in spirit to pray the Rosary as we pray here at St. James.

Each year, Mr. Robert Renaud paints a different image
to help others focus on an overall theme. 2013's image is entitled: 'St. Kateri'. |
|
The title of 2013's painting is: 'St. Kateri ~ Model of Youths'. As in the past, anyone staying for at least 3 hours of praying the Rosary will receive a free print of this year's painting.
Mr. Renaud's painting of the Blessed Kateri Tekakwitha, 'Kateri ~ Lily of the Mohawks', which was created for the 350th birthday celebration at both shrines found in Fonda and Auriesville, NY, is now part of the Vatican Collection. Follow these links for more information:
